It muddles atmosphere-building tools like tight camera angles and slow movement with power fantasies like bottomless ammo boxes and on-demand magical healing. The idea of this sequel was to innovate on the survival horror genre in the way its predecessor explored the idea of a cinematic modern RPG, but it lacks the same level of focus.
